My Time at Simply Happy

Sometimes, life has a way of guiding us to exactly where we need to be. My journey to Simply Happy felt like fate—a gentle nudge from the universe, inviting me to step away from the relentless pace of London and into a space of peace, connection, and transformation.

As one of the developers for the Simply Happy website, I had always felt a sense of purpose in helping to build the digital home for this unique community. But it wasn't until I visited Simply Happy in the middle of March that I truly understood the magic of the place. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the soothing sound of water flowing through the land. It was as if the streams and rivers themselves were welcoming me, inviting me to slow down and listen.

The natural beauty of Simply Happy is breathtaking—the views stretch out across green hills and forests, and every walk reveals something new. But what made my time there truly special were the people. I met Oscar, a talented carpenter whose hands shape the wood that fills the village with warmth. Each conversation, whether with a fellow truth seeker or a new friend, felt meaningful and real. There was a sense of openness and acceptance that made it easy to share, to laugh, and to reflect.

One of the most unexpected joys was meeting Lou, the Simply Happy dog. She arrived one day and never left, becoming a beloved companion to everyone. Lou is always searching for love, and there was never a shortage of people—myself included—willing to give her a scratch behind the ears or a gentle hug. Her presence was a reminder of the simple, unconditional love that flows so freely in this place.

The days at Simply Happy had a gentle rhythm. I found myself decompressing from the busyness of city life, letting go of stress and rediscovering the quiet within. Walks in nature, shared meals, and deep conversations became the highlights of my stay. One evening, I cooked dinner for everyone, and as we gathered around the table, the talks that unfolded were some of the most profound and beautiful I've ever experienced. It was surprising to find such intimacy with people who, only days before, had been strangers. Yet, in that space, we discovered how much we had in common—our hopes, our questions, our longing for truth.

Water, I realized, is at the heart of Simply Happy. It is a living presence—always flowing, always adapting, always giving life. The sound of water became my companion, a gentle guide encouraging me to relax, to let go, and to simply be. I began to feel that the water was communicating with me, inviting me to rest and reminding me that, if I love the water, it loves me back. It became a friend, a teacher, and a source of healing.

One night, I had the chance to watch a movie in the home cinema at Simply Happy. The film was called 'Water is Life,' and as I listened to the powerful audio and reflected on my own experiences, I couldn't help but agree with the title. Water is life—and so is connection, community, and the courage to follow the call of fate when it leads us somewhere new.

Looking back, my time at Simply Happy was more than just a visit. It was a transformative experience—a turning point that reminded me of the beauty of slowing down, the importance of community, and the deep wisdom that can be found in nature. I left with a heart full of gratitude, knowing that I had been exactly where I needed to be.
